Utilize a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines, to fabricate tooling components. Perform precision machining, grinding, and fitting to achieve tight tolerances and ensure proper tool functionality. Conduct testing and trial runs of new tools and dies to verify performance and make necessary adjustments. Analyze tooling issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions to improve tool lifespan and production efficiency. Repair and maintain existing tools and dies, including sharpening, regrinding, and replacing worn or damaged components. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to optimize tooling designs for manufacturability and quality. Document work activities, including tooling modifications, repairs, and maintenance procedures, accurately and comprehensively. Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
