randstad USA wins american staffing association award for best social responsibility program in U.S.
2018 care award honors industry leaders who promote legal, ethical and professional practices in staffing.
ATLANTA – Oct. 2, 2018 – Randstad USA has earned a 2018 American Staffing Association Care Award for its corporate social responsibility program, Randstad with Heart. Winners of this award are recognized for their outstanding social responsibility initiatives among ASA member staffing agencies and associate members (industry suppliers).
By launching a global online platform called Randstad with Heart, Randstad is helping employees connect to causes that they care about — and improve the communities in which they live and work. Randstad with Heart not only helps employees to volunteer for and donate to great causes, but has also improved Randstad’s ability to quantify the impact of the contributions its employees are making around the globe.
Randstad with Heart advances the company’s Human Forward brand promise of connecting technology and people in impactful ways. While employees are encouraged to support the causes they care about, Randstad has also created programs and formed partnerships on a national level in connection with Randstad with Heart:
- Hire Hope — A 22-week-long career-readiness training, apprenticeship and job placement program designed by Randstad that provides opportunities to underserved and at-risk women, including survivors of exploitation or trafficking.
- Ride for Myriam — Every year, employees and friends of Randstad cycle over 400 miles from Canada to the U.S. to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Over the last four years, Randstad has donated more than $250,000 to support cancer research.
- Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) — Randstad employees have the opportunity to travel abroad and use their professional experience to create economic development opportunities through knowledge and skill sharing.
- Girls on the Run (GOTR) — Randstad has an alliance partnership with GOTR to provide elementary school girls with coaching and encouragement through running clubs and events in over 200 U.S. locations.
“Creating a positive impact on society is ingrained in Randstad’s DNA and reflected in our goal to touch the work lives of 500 million people worldwide by 2030,” says Audra Jenkins, chief diversity and inclusion officer at Randstad North America. “Randstad offers its employees one paid volunteer day each year to help carry out this mission and create awareness for causes that are close to us and the communities in which we operate.”
The ASA Care Award honorees will be celebrated at Staffing World® 2018—the largest, most comprehensive learning and networking event in the staffing, recruiting and workforce solutions industry—Oct. 16–18 in Washington, D.C.
