A large Health Care group is looking for a Payroll and Compensation Analyst to join their team in Valhalla, NY. This role involves compensation analysis, supporting Payroll, and calculating of bonuses. The position is hybrid, with 1-2 days per week in the office. responsibilities:
- Review contracts to determine appropriate compensation and bonus plans.
- Calculation of monthly, quarterly, annual incentive payments.
- Enter new employees into Payroll System.
- Assist managers with maintaining employee time sheets.
- Assist the Payroll Manager with correcting payroll issues, such as missed time clock punches.
- Setup schedules for new employees.
- Make employee profile changes in the Payroll system as necessary.
- Act as backup for processing payroll for semi monthly and biweekly employees.
- Act as a backup for payroll processing, payroll projects and reporting.
- Calculate retroactive payments.
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking related to compensation matters.
- Act as a backup to prepare and analyze weekly health insurance claim payments and expenses.
- Assist in preparing monthly supporting schedules and reports.
- Perform special ad hoc projects as needed.
qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- 5 plus years of compensation and payroll experience in a healthcare organization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is a plus.
- Strong fluency with Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
- Working knowledge of Paychex Payroll and/or Workday
