responsibilities:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SEC Reporting Manager to play a key role in our financial reporting team. You will oversee the preparation and filing of SEC reports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and supporting M&A activities. This position offers the chance to work on complex transactions and be part of an exciting, fast-paced environment. In-office work is required at their Henderson location.
- Prepare and file all SEC reports, including 10-Q, 10-K, and other necessary filings in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Manage the financial reporting process for M&A transactions, including due diligence and integration activities
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting, especially in connection with complex transactions
- Provide technical accounting expertise on new and existing accounting standards and their impact on SEC reporting
- Liaise with external auditors to coordinate reviews and audits, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Monitor and implement any changes to SEC reporting standards and ensure compliance with new guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Legal and Investor Relations, to produce earnings releases, investor presentations, and other external communications
- Lead and mentor junior team members on financial reporting best practices
- Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required)
- 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a background in public accounting (Big 4 or Top 10 firm experience preferred)
- No supervisory experience is required, no direct reports to start, reports to the Director of SEC Reporting.
- Strong technical accounting and SEC reporting knowledge.
- Experience with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with senior leadership
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
