This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and management of the North American construction portfolio. responsibilities:
Financial Oversight & Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and audits of financial records, including year-over-year forecasting and revenue/expense reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and manage departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and property standards.
- Establish, implement, and monitor financial controls, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate key performance indicators and departmental goals to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and labor management for assigned areas.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance financial processes and achieve organizational objectives.
- Manage all aspects of hiring, performance management, and employee engagement to foster a high-performing and inclusive team.
- Provide training, constructive feedback, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Implement strategies to promote a positive, service-oriented culture and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of financial and departmental management.
- Establish clear, long-term goals and adapt to changing circumstances with resilience and professionalism.
- Set a polished, professional tone, ensuring consistency and professionalism across the department.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA certification is preferred.
- Extensive experience in construction budgeting & construction accounting, is required.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to present complex financial data.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, with a track record of building fair, ethical, and productive relationships.
- Proven ability to lead and execute department initiatives from concept to completion.
