This leadership role oversees the North American construction portfolio - responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial records, driving team performance, and maintaining compliance. responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight & Analysis:
- Conduct thorough reviews and audits of financial records, including year-over-year forecasting and reporting on revenues and expenses.
- Prepare, analyze, and manage departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic financial objectives and property standards.
- Establish and enforce financial controls, including policies and procedures to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Strategic Planning & Departmental Management:
- Continuously evaluate key performance indicators and departmental goals to identify and act on opportunities for improvement.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and labor management for assigned areas.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Oversee all aspects of hiring, performance management, and employee engagement, fostering a motivating and inclusive environment.
- Provide training, constructive feedback, and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and performance.
- Implement employee engagement and communication strategies to promote a positive and service-oriented culture.
- Decision Making & Strategic Vision:
- Display sound judgment under pressure and uphold high ethical standards in all aspects of departmental and financial management.
- Set clear, long-term goals and demonstrate resilience in adapting to changing circumstances.
- Maintain a polished, professional demeanor to set a positive example for the team, creating a consistent, professional workplace culture.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance is required. A CPA is preferred
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Construction Accounting with strong financial statement and construction budgeting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and present complex financial information.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with an ability to build positive, fair, and ethical relationships.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in driving department initiatives from concept through to execution.
