Tax Associate Staff Tax Accountant Senior Tax Accountant
Position: Tax Associate
- Prepare and file individual, S-Corp, C-Corp, partnership, estate, trust, and non-profit tax returns.
- Assist in gathering and organizing client financial data and tax documents.
- Conduct preliminary research on tax regulations to ensure compliance.
- Communicate with clients to clarify tax-related questions and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare complex individual, S-Corp, C-Corp, partnership, estate, trust, and non-profit tax returns.
- Conduct tax planning and projections for individual and business clients.
- Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver timely and accurate tax filings.
- Manage the preparation and review of all types of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead tax planning initiatives and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client relationships, building trust and delivering exceptional service.
- Stay updated on tax legislation changes and implement them in client engagements.
- Assist in managing firm workflows and contribute to process improvements.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and a CPA or EA designation are preferred.
- 1 - 5+ years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns across all client types.
- A solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations is required.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to excellent client service
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
