We are seeking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented CPA specializing in Tax preparation (business and personal tax) to join a well-established CPA firm in Salem, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing the preparation and review of 550+ individual and corporate tax returns for the firm while providing leadership, supervision, and mentorship to a small team of Tax professionals.

responsibilities:
Tax Preparation & Review:
- Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Research and resolve tax-related issues, including identifying potential tax savings opportunities for clients.
- Supervise a small team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Assign and manage workflow, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of tax engagements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients, aligning their financial goals with regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the firm's practices remain compliant.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of tax services.
qualifications:
- CPA license in good standing is required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax preparation for individuals and businesses.
- Prior experience supervising or managing a team is required
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
