Senior Financial Analyst
A small start-up team located in the greater DMV area is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst to help drive business forward and ensure teams are on track to hit big goals. The ideal candidate will have a "start-up" mentality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and get exhilarated by details big and small.
This person will have the autonomy to do what they do best, which should include the ability to dive into the intricacies of financial processes, analyze data to provide actionable insights that guide the company's decision-making, and foster a collaborative environment that encourages the growth and development of the team.

responsibilities:
- Craft and execute strategic financial plans along with the VP that align with the company's overall objectives, ensuring long-term financial stability and growth.
- Assist with the preparation, analysis, and presentation of precise and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to design and improve financial processes, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
- Help lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads, ensuring effective resource allocation and alignment with financial targets.
- Compile and analyze financial data to extract actionable insights that guide informed decision-making at all levels of the company.
- Contribute to a collaborative and growth-oriented environment within the finance and accounting team.
- Be part of a team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures that adhere to best practices, promoting transparency and consistency.
- Effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, fostering a clear understanding of financial strategies and insights.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in progressively responsible finance and accounting roles.
- Thorough grasp of financial management principles, encompassing GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data to inform strategic decision making.
- Based in the DC, MD, or Northern Virginia area. Role is hybrid with some in person meeting time required.
