Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of HR experience in a similar role.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and compliance.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills (a plus).
Core Responsibilities
As an HR Generalist, you will:
- Guide and Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing expert guidance on personnel policies and procedures.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with federal and state employment laws to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Benefit Coordination: Manage open enrollments, benefits changes, and training programs to empower employees with the resources they need.
- Be the Go-To Resource: Address HR-related inquiries with professionalism and care.
- Payroll Assistance: Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure smooth and accurate processing.
- Communicate Effectively: Craft and distribute internal communications about changes in policies, benefits, or employee status updates.
- Welcome New Talent: Lead onboarding and orientation programs to set new hires up for success.
- Foster Culture: Monitor and nurture employee morale while promoting a strong and positive company culture.
- Ensure Safety and Respect: Handle complaints related to harassment, discrimination, or workplace issues and assist in investigations and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain Records: Keep meticulous personnel records to support organizational integrity and compliance.
- Expertise in HR: Demonstrated knowledge of HR best practices, employment regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Confidentiality: A strong sense of ethics and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Tech-Savviness: Proficiency with HRMS/HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
