Summary:

Scope of Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting function, ensuring accurate and
timely financial reporting for assigned entities.
- Prepare, analyze, and report financial information and supporting schedules in an
accurate and timely manner.
- Manage all aspects of administration and accounting for all fund partnerships and
management company, including financial statements, valuations, capital calls,
distributions, partnership allocations, management fee calculations and fund waterfall
allocations.
- Lead the monthly and quarterly close process, prepare financial statements, and
manage investor reporting,
- Able to prepare and record transactions in the general ledger, review LLC
agreements, prepare waterfall schedules and reconcile investor capital activity and
investment entity activity.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate with internal and outsourcing staff to meet internal and
external deadlines and produce high quality monthly financials for timely and
accurate reporting.
- Direct and manage fund admins in completing cap calls, distributions, financials and
investor reporting timely.
- Coordinate closely with the property management team to gather financial data and
ensure alignment with operational objectives.
- Concisely present financial information and appropriately research and answer
accounting questions to management, as requested.
- Collaborate closely with the external auditors and Accounting Leadership to ensure
thorough and accurate audits.
- Review and prepare audit schedules and work papers.
- Demonstrated ability to research and document accounting issues.
- Collaborate with Leadership to develop, lead, and implement recommendations for effective and efficient business processes.
- When required, work with the respective department and accounting teams on
collaborative projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
qualifications:
Qualifications, skills, and requirements:
- Minimum of 5-6 years of accounting experience in real estate, private equity or public accounting
- Ability to apply US GAAP and internal controls with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, adaptable, and thorough with follow-up tasks.
- Positive attitude, eager to learn, and willing to take on challenges.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros, etc.)
- Yardi preferred experience.
- Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines timely, accurately, and
consistently.
- High degree of accuracy, accountability and consistency in producing quality work
Qualifications and Education Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required from an accredited four-year college or
university.
- US CPA is preferred.
