Randstad Finance & Accounting (Tatum) has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and talented full-cycle Accountant. Our client is one of North America's leading homebuilder with a head office in the Perimeter area of Atlanta.

responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant prepares journal entries, assists with the compilation of financial statements, helps facilitate the month end close process and performs ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
What You'll Be Doing Each Day
- Create and review journal entries ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as internal accounting policies
- Participate in month end close and collaborate with the Accounting Manager/Controller/Director of Accounting in the preparation of financial statements
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as necessary
- Assist with interim and year-end audits by collecting and validating data, providing documentation and responding to inquiries
qualifications:
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of experience in full-cycle, GAAP Accounting; homebuilding or real estate experience an asset
- Advanced level Excel
- CPA certification an asset
- Experience working with NewStar
skills: Excel Macros, Account Reconciliation, Financial Analysis, Journal Entries, Financial Reporting, GAAP, Month-End Close, Excel Pivot Tables, General Accounting and Finance Skills
