Randstad is seeking a Sr. Controller to serve as a key financial leader, reporting directly to the CFO. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, and driving strategic financial initiatives to enhance overall company performance. The Sr. Controller will lead a team of accounting professionals, focusing on streamlining operational efficiency, optimizing financial processes, and supporting the company's growth objectives. This position requires a hands-on CPA.

responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership across all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of transactions, reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and debt management.
- Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including cost analysis, variance reporting, and optimization strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead tax planning and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Optimize internal controls, ERP systems, and cash flow management.
- Supervise and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Collaborate with executives to align financial strategy with business goals.
- Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with an active CPA certification.
- Minimum of 8 years in accounting, including 3+ years in a leadership role managing an accounting department.
- Strong background in GAAP, financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop finance teams while balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
- Hands-on, collaborative leader with a positive and approachable attitude is required.
