Tatum by Randstad is currently assisting a Redwood City-based Software company with a Senior Accountant search for approximately a 3 month long project (with the possibility of converting) while they assess long-term internal needs. The ideal candidate will assist with full-cycle accounting through month-end close. This is an urgent need and the ideal candidate can start almost immediately!
The compensation range for this position is $55 to $62/hr. based on previous experience.
This is a hybrid working arrangement with 4 days remote and 1 day (Wednesdays) in office, located in Redwood City, CA.

responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements according to monthly close schedule.
- Prepare journal entries, GL account reconciliations, and flux analysis for month-end close (experience with accounts such as fixed assets, prepaid assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses, etc.).
- Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are appropriately recorded on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Document and analyze monthly expense and balance sheet fluctuations at various levels of detail.
- Analyze financial statements on a monthly basis, prepare and report variances from budget.
- Provide support during the annual financial audit.
qualifications:
- 5+ years of accounting experience as a Senior Accountant required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related required; CPA preferred
- Previous experience with NetSuite required; Coupa or FloQast experience is a plus!
- Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup's).
- Must be able to work onsite 1 day weekly on Wednesdays in Redwood City, CA.
