Tatum is engaged with a Portland based Private Equity backed client that is in need of some strong accounting support while the PE firm completes new acquisitions. If you are open to project / interim work this could be a good match for you in the near term. If you are looking for a permanent role by the end of the 1st quarter; this could be an option for you. This project will kick-off around mid-March. The key overall details for this clients initiatives are below:

responsibilities:
- Be a "hands-on" leader and Controller for a Private equity held $50 million in revenue company. This company is a new acquisition
- Manage day-to-day business and lead the current accounting team consisting of a small team of junior accounting people that are individual contributors
- This project will focus on the clean up of the accounting department (the Controller position has been vacant for 3 months)
- Cash forecasting
- Collections management
- Rebuild accounting processes & procedures
- Convert the company from cash based accounting to accruals
- Work with the company's systems integration team during the implementation of a new ERP
qualifications:
Must have 5+ years of Controllership Experience
Must have Commercial Building Construction Industry experience
Must Have Private Equity experience
Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Portland, Oregon
CPA is preferred
Private Equity experience is preferred
Post Acquisition experience is preferred
