responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely journal entries.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Apply proper revenue recognition principles based on ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
- Monitor accruals, prepaids, and deferred revenue for accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting processes.
- Analyze variances between actual financial results and budgeted figures.
- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing and collections.
- Work with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve cash flow management.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns, including sales tax, corporate tax, and payroll tax.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Assist in tax audits and coordinate with external tax consultants when necessary.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Strengthen internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, and financial misstatements.
