Tatum by Randstad is recruiting for a Technical Accounting Consultant that has a mix of public accounting and medium-large publicly traded company experience. The Technical Accounting Consultant will assist in the preparation of financial statements, research technical accounting issues, documenting processes, revenue/expense analysis, develop projections, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
The compensation range for this contract role is $55/hr. to $65/hr., based on experience and is an immediate need!
Ideally this is a hybrid role, but can be a remote for the right candidate!

responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth technical accounting research and provide guidance to management on complex accounting issues which include preparation of the related technical accounting memos.
- Stay current with the latest accounting standards and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.) and assess their impact on the organization.
- Perform complete and thorough month-end review of all financial statements (General Ledger, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet).
- Accounting for potential mergers and acquisitions, including the valuation of assets acquired and liabilities assumed, required disclosures, pro forma requirements, and accounting policy integration.
- Work with internal and external auditors on various accounting issues.
- Lead/Participate in various accounting/finance related projects; continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting and consolidation processes.
qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical accounting experience with a good mix of public accounting and publicly traded company experience; manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly desired.
- Experience creating various technical accounting memos and improving disclosure writing.
- Able to articulate knowledge of Internal Controls, SOX and GAAP.
