Position Summary
As the Business Controller, you will serve as the accounting lead for our organization, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic financial planning. In addition to finance, this role encompasses diverse administrative functions, including HR oversight, system administration, and operational support, making it pivotal to the success of our small but dynamic team.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Lead and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare monthly P&L and financial reporting packet.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain and optimize the Business Central system for all financial processes. - Support external audits and manage relationships with third-party financial service providers.
- Ensure compliance with all tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary system administrator for Business Central, handling updates, testing, and user support.
- Oversee customer master data management, including credit limits and pricing.
- Investigate and resolve production variances and manage cycle counts for inventory.
- Bill of materials (BOM) management and maintenance in Business Central.
- Manage annual audits, including worker's compensation.
- Manage payroll with external vendor/processor.
- Oversee HR-related compliance and administrative duties.
- Oversee employee benefit items. 401k administration, health benefits, etc... - Act as a resource for employee-related inquiries and documentation.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial insights to support company growth and operational efficiency.
qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent a plus. - Proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably within a small to midsized company.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
