responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis to support financial accuracy.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and capital expenditure tracking.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements such as SOX.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and accounting software to enhance automation and reporting capabilities.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-size company
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger functions.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
- CPA or working towards certification is a plus.
