Accounting Manager
About the Position
A growing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, supervise a small accounting team, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with various levels of management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting team (3-4 employees) and ensure departmental goals are met.
- Prepare and review month-end and year-end financial statements, supporting documents, and journal entries.
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including contract and time & materials (T&M) billing.
- Supervise accounts payable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and aging reports.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for accounts, including bank and trust accounts.
- Develop and optimize accounting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Generate financial reports and analyze data to support business decisions.
- Assess current systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and legal regulations.
- Coordinate and review annual audits.
- Maintain financial documentation and records.
- 3+ years of experience in an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager role.
- Strong background in bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and financial databases.
- Ability to handle large volumes of financial data with precision.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Salary: $100,000 - $130,000/year (based on experience).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
