We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee financial management, billing, payroll, human resources, and office operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accounting records, managing collections, coordinating payroll and benefits, and ensuring efficient office management.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee company accounting systems, including QuickBooks and Clio.
- Record expenses and perform monthly data exports and backups.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for operating and trust accounts.
- Maintain financial statements and adjust books as necessary.
- Review and classify transactions monthly, ensuring accuracy.
- Generate financial reports and manage credit card payments.
- Record daily cash receipts in Clio, email partners, and maintain digital records.
- Process vendor setup forms for clients.
- Send invoices to staff and clients as needed.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding invoices and account information.
- Reconcile QuickBooks Customer Balance Summary with Clio accounts receivable monthly.
- Write off uncollectible accounts as necessary.
- Manage relationships with special billing vendors.
- Upload timesheets, rate changes, employee changes, and invoices to vendor platforms.
- Report monthly and quarterly Work in Progress (WIP) accruals.
- Review attorney billable time weekly and monthly, sending reminders as needed.
- Generate and distribute invoices as required.
- Serve as the main point of contact for vendors and maintain vendor contracts.
- Process and record vendor invoices.
- Enter billable invoices into Clio as necessary.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors.
qualifications:
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, payroll, or office management.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Clio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
