Senior Cost Accountant
Our client, a rapidly growing global manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their expanding finance team. This position is based in the center valley area and requires an on-site presence five days a week. The company is a recognized leader in its industry, specializing in high-precision manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement. This role will play a critical part in analyzing and optimizing production costs, supporting financial decision-making, and driving profitability within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by preparing, recording, verifying, and entering transactions and account reconciliations.
- Responsible in maintaining and analyzing gross margins per product.
- Monthly/Weekly pricing and sales trend analysis.
- Reconcile inventory sub-ledgers to the balance sheet.
- Develop monthly COGS, other COGS, and inventory-related journal entries, including the development of standard costs for products at various inventory stages.
- Develop and maintain KPIs.
- Prepare and record entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, and COGS by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end tasks and reconciliations.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and assist with audit inquiries.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to meet department close expectation goals.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, including manufacturing industry experience.
- Proficiency in cost accounting
