responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting, job cost tracking, and budgeting for multiple construction projects.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards.
- Conduct financial analysis to support project cost control and profitability.
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to optimize financial performance.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and audit preparation.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and WIP reporting.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop
- Leadership experience and ability to mentor accounting staff.
