responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions for the organization, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance, optimize cash flow, and streamline operations.
- Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in strategic decision-making related to cost control, profitability, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Oversee the preparation of tax filings, audits, and other regulatory reporting as necessary.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably within the distribution or manufacturing sector.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
