Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 10-15 years of experience in Accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting role, with at least 3 years in the distribution or logistics industry (non-negotiable)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven experience managing month-end close, reconciliations, and financial planning processes.
- Demonstrated success in managing remote teams and working in a distributed work environment.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities with a hands-on, proactive approach.

responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes; provide variance analysis and financial insights to executive leadership.
- Manage and mentor a remote accounting team, ensuring accountability and high performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Handle cash flow management, working capital analysis, and inventory accounting specific to distribution.
- Oversee audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Drive process improvements to streamline accounting functions and increase efficiency.
