responsibilities:
Performs a variety of environment monitoring analyses in support of the site's manufacturing work environments. Applies existing procedures and processes in the performance of qualitative tests or quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from use of standard microbiological analysis to automated instrumentation. Also responsible for lab-related activities necessary for on-going maintenance of lab, including sample log in, supplies management, equipment maintenance, and data review. Travel between sites (up to 20 miles) may be required.
- Collection of test samples.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external contacts.
- Performs routine tests in accordance with established procedures and documents the results electronically or on standard forms. When routine tests are performed in a non-standard way, the technician must follow the special instructions as written.
- Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation.
- Conducts laboratory support functions such as receiving supplies; and washing, sterilizing, and storing glassware.
- Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities to drive lean culture and improve the overall quality function of the lab.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Work experience in related discipline preferred.
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
- Medical Device environment experience
- Laboratory testing or environmental testing
