responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, may perform a variety of routine laboratory operations. Full training on operating small reactors or kilo lab equipment. The individual should be comfortable around chemical compounds and able/willing to handle these according to standard operating procedures. Able to set up and turn off laboratory equipment safely. Good record keeping for processes may be needed. This is an entry-level position but some experience and knowledge in the handling of chemicals or performing chemical reactions in laboratory settings are a plus.
- Ensures that safety procedures, required PPE and housekeeping are maintained.
- Conducts work in a manner that protects themselves, co-workers, and the environment.
- Follow established work procedures.
- Required to learn all operating systems and able to shut them down without supervision in the case of any emergency.
- The position involves blending, measuring, and producing raw materials to produce OLED products.
- You will work in a production environment with a high level of safety awareness and adhere to all appropriate safety procedures in place.
qualifications:
Required:
- High School graduate/equivalent or associate degree
- Ability to work first shift, Monday through Friday, eventually may need to be flexible to work Tuesday through Saturday or Wednesday through Sunday
- Familiarity in a production or laboratory environment
- Mechanical aptitude and high level of safety awareness
- Some experience and knowledge in the handling of chemicals or performing chemical reactions in laboratory settings are a plus
- Excellent communication skills and able to communicate well between shifts as needed
- Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day
- Chemical and manufacturing experience preferred
- Attention to detail and documentation skills and excellent organizational skills
- Strong problem solving, initiative, and knowledge of PC applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work and in a team-oriented environment
