responsibilities:
- Execute and document experimental plans and laboratory procedures timely with great attention to details.
- Execute data analysis and troubleshooting with guidance.
- Perform mammalian cell line and primary cell tissue culture, CRISPR editing, lentivirus transduction, in vitro cell transfection, Flow cytometry analysis, and cell-based molecular biology and biochemical assays.
- Performing RNA and DNA extraction from mammalian cell lines and tissues, and related quantitative PCR/digital PCR.
- Present data internally and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Maintain laboratory protocols, notebooks, data, and project records responsively.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment.
qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 0+ Years w/ Relevant PhD or equivalent (where applicable) 2+ Years w/ Relevant MS or equivalent 4+ Years w/ Relevant BS or equivalent Advanced and proficient understanding and use of technical principles, theories, and concepts to perform expansive range of work in a role. Basic knowledge of related and adjacent disciplinary areas.
- Strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, or biochemistry.
- Good critical thinking and attention to details are required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct experiments.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- The successful candidate must have expertise in his or her field of research as well as the ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
- Comfortable in fast-paced company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
- Proficiency in mammalian cell and primary cell tissue culture, in vitro cell transfection, lentivirus transduction, and CRISPR editing.
- Hands-on experience with performing experiments, such as RNA, DNA extraction, PCR, and cloning.
- Experience with handling samples at 96 or 384-well format.
- Proficiency in performing and analysis of FACS and gene editing are preferred.
