responsibilities:
Provide general laboratory operational support to the Company Maryland (Rockville, MD). This person will be responsible for helping to develop, manage, and organize daily lab support activities to ensure that our laboratories operate smoothly.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support and back up lab manager in the oversight of all aspects of efficient lab operations
- Maintain an inventory and stocks of commonly used reagents for the lab
- Coordinate instrument maintenance with vendors and lab personnel
- Support organization of cell banks and general cold storage
- Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional lab team
- Logistics Management (incoming and outgoing shipments of laboratory materials)
- Inventory Oversight (maintain organized inventory system for lab supplies, chemicals, consumables)
- Sample Handling (storage and tracking of lab samples, proper documentation)
- Equipment Relocation (relocation of lab equipment between labs)
- Vendor Collaboration (evaluate suppliers for quality, pricing, delivery timelines, coordinate with vendors)
- Quality Control (perform QC checks on cytometry instruments)
- Equipment Maintenance (schedule lab equipment calibrations, service, maintenance)
- Sample Shipping (ensure compliance and safety when shipping or receiving lab samples)
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 1+ years' applicable experience working in a research laboratory setting.
- 1+ years working in a research laboratory setting
- Proven planning and organizational skills in a complex and diverse environment
- Multitasking skills
skills: GLP (Good Laboratory Practice)
