responsibilities:
This position involves daily laboratory testing of food products. The position requires significant attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Preferred skills based on previous laboratory experiences which would include:
Follow lab and plant safety requirements
- Accurate weighing, pipetting and quantitative transfer of solutions and samples, ability to safely work with hazardous compounds, preparation of solutions
- Operation of lab equipment; and basic equipment troubleshooting.
- Operate and maintain a laboratory as part of a team.
- Organize workload to maximize result output and meet deadlines.
- Conduct analytical testing analysis
- Adhere to QA/QC requirements.
- Maintain a work environment that complies with safety rules.
- Communicate with Operations and FSQ on issues
qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
OTHER QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical Excellence, Judgment and Problem Solving, Flexibility and Adaptability, Delivering Results, Collaboration and Teamwork, Integrity.
- Must work well in a team setting.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to organize workload and maintain proper documentation.
- Basic mechanical skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Display flexibility based on changing business and laboratory needs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic Word and Excel
- Must be able to remain standing for minimum of 2 hours.
- Must have steel toe boots and white t-shirt(s)
- All jewelry must be removable
