We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist (Cell Biology / Molecular Biology / Immunology) to join our client's team. This is a one-year contract position, requiring 100% on-site work in Cambridge, MA. The role is available on a W2 employment basis.

responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and optimize cell-based functional assays to support drug discovery and development, ensuring high-quality and reproducible data.
- Perform aseptic cell culture techniques, including the maintenance and expansion of primary cells and other relevant cell models.
- Conduct molecular biology techniques such as RNA/DNA extraction and qPCR
qualifications:
Required:
- PhD in biology, biochemistry, molecular and/or cellular biology, immunology, pharmacology or toxicology or another scientific discipline (with 0-2 years of pharmaceutical experience) OR Masters in biology, biochemistry, molecular and/or cellular biology, immunology, pharmacology or toxicology or another scientific discipline (with 6+ years of pharmaceutical experience)
- Expert with standard aseptic cell culture technique, including experience culturing primary cells.
- Experience with cell-based functional assays.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques including RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR, and western blot.
- Experience with 3D microphysiological cell models
- Experience with cell transfection/transduction, imaging, and flow cytometry is a plus.
