The Research Scientist will independently support analytical development, including method development, qualification/validation, sample testing, data analysis, and reporting. Working closely with Formulation Development, this role ensures compliance with OSHA, FDA regulations, and SOPs.

responsibilities:
- Analytical Method Development & Validation: Under limited supervision, develop and optimize fit-for-purpose analytical methodologies for injectable and ophthalmic drug products across all stages of development. Design and execute pre-validation and validation studies to support analytical methods.
- Testing, Data Interpretation & Quality Assurance: Conduct sample testing to support formulation development, interpret results, and provide meaningful guidance to the team. Verify co-workers' calculations, data accuracy, and integrity in notebooks, reports, and systems. Evaluate compendial and published methods while supporting new method development.
- Laboratory Maintenance & Compliance: Maintain and clean laboratory instruments and equipment, manage inventory of necessary materials, and assist in writing, reviewing, and revising procedures, including departmental methods, protocols, and SOPs. Perform other laboratory-related duties as needed.

Required:
- Atleast Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of analytical chemistry experience in a Research & Development environment
- Waters or Agilent branded HPLC/UPLC/GC experience
- Experience with Empower software
- Method development/validation experience
- PhD degree
skills: HPLC, Analytical Chemistry, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
