responsibilities:
This role requires deep expertise in hospital financial systems and the ability to engage senior stakeholders in understanding and realizing the full economic value proposition of drug implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive field reimbursement support across the entire customer journey, from formulary approval through ongoing utilization
- Develop and execute strategies to accelerate formulary approval and expand post-implementation adoption
- Lead top-down selling initiatives by engaging director-level pharmacy and finance stakeholders
- Play a leading role in IDN engagement by presenting market access and health economic information to IDN leadership and decision-makers
- Create and maintain comprehensive reimbursement, coding, and budget impact model materials
- Develop and update compliant communication protocols for medical affairs and commercial teams
- Proactively identify and mitigate financial barriers to reduce account churn
- Position the drug as a valuable service requiring cross-functional coordination
- Demonstrate clear economic benefits to drive institutional adoption and coordination
- Train and support field teams in effective communication of economic value proposition
- Partner with hospital leadership to implement required coordination protocols for realizing cost savings
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare market access experience
- Deep understanding of hospital formulary processes and P&T committee dynamics
- Extensive knowledge of hospital reimbursement systems and coding
- Experience in developing market access strategies and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Background in pharmacy or hospital finance preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree (PharmD, MBA, etc.) preferred
- Ability to travel up to 70% within assigned region
