responsibilities:
- Understand basics of raw materials, and their application in beverages
- Support projects that impact ingredients, such as new supplier requirement updates, cost savings initiatives, supply issues or production challenges.
- Follow SOP and enter required ingredient data in the database accurately
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory work if ingredient is analyzed internally
- Prepare ingredient samples and test for basic specs if needed, such as pH, Acidity, Density, Brix etc.
- Work together effectively with Product Development and other functions of R&D such as Sensory, Ingredients, Nutrition, Regulatory, Flavor Technology, Process Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology
- Develop/ Update SOPs and training for job function as needed
qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or allied field
- Some experience in a related function within food/beverage (R&D, Quality) or CPG internship
skills: SOP, FDA, MS-WORD, MS-EXCEL, MS-Powerpoint, Biology, Chemistry, Food Product Development
