responsibilities:
Towards Integrated Workflows & Data Collection:
- Collaborate with Research & Biomarkers (R&B) scientists and technicians to enhance data operations and workflows.
- Build automated data workflows where needed and troubleshoot inefficient workflows.
- Ensure proper functioning of data collection, integration, software, and internet applications in coordination with the digital team.
- Design, develop, and modify data infrastructure to accelerate data analysis and reporting.
- Standardize data collection and processing methods across R&B teams for improved data management.
- Resolve data ingestion issues for Benchling, including legacy and current data, and deploy simplification or automation tools.
- Develop and implement digital tracking, inventory management, and automated QC dashboards within Benchling.
- Support R&B scientists in organizing and ingesting unstructured data.
- Maintain data management plans for test article-related critical data, including dashboards and metadata.
- Ensure R&B scientists have visibility and access to dashboards and metadata.
- Assess system performance and recommend updates for hardware, software, and data storage improvements.
qualifications:
Required Skills:
- MS Degree (1-3 years industry experience) OR Ph.D. (0-2 years experience, including school experience)
- Data visualization tool experience (e.g., Tableau or Spotfire)
- Coding experience in SQL, Python, LIMS Lab Information System
- Benchling experience (or Gene Data or comparable)
- Bench experience in Molecular Biology
- Biotech or Pharma industry experience
- Hands-on molecular biology/lab experience
- Bioinformatics experience in an industry setting (biotech)
- NGS (Next-Gen Sequencing) data analysis experience
skills: GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
