The Medical Editor, Value & Access, is responsible for reviewing, editing, and supporting documents developed by Value & Access including AMCP dossiers, compendia, and product monographs. This individual provides editorial expertise for multiple projects across therapeutic areas within established timelines, interfaces regularly with medical writers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of information and contributes to cross-functional meetings for process improvement.

responsibilities:
- Review medical and scientific materials, including AMCP dossiers, product monographs, and compendia, to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing proofreading, styling, and copy-editing for a range of medical and scientific content
- Support quality control of data, with guidance from the medical writer, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Verify the accuracy and formatting of references in accordance with document requirements
- Edit and proofread for grammar, spelling, sentence structure, consistency, formatting, and adherence to AMA Manual of Style and internal style guidelines
- Coordinate and communicate with medical writers and relevant stakeholders throughout the editorial process
- Participate in Medical Writing Team Meetings to suggest updates and improvements to Job Aids and style guides
- Follow conventions and proper grammar usage while adhering to internal and external formatting requirements, guidelines, and SOPs
- Stay up to date with document-related policies, procedures, and work instructions
qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ Years of Medical Editing, Publications, or Regulatory Experience
- Experience with AMCP Dossiers, Product Monographs, Journals, Posters, and Slide Creation
- Strong Project Management Skills (Process Adherence, Managing Competing Priorities)
- Ability to Work Independently Across Multiple Therapeutic Areas (Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience, etc.)
- Expert-level Proficiency in English Language and Grammar Skills
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
- Must be local to and able to work a hybrid schedule in Mettawa, IL, partial remote is acceptable (2 days on-site, 3 days remote per week)
- Medical Writing Certification (AMWA, BELS)
- Experience with Scientific Content Assimilation and Interpretation
