The Analytical Development team is seeking a highly creative and self-motivated candidate to join us for a 6-month contract. This role will support the development of small molecule and oligonucleotide drug substance and drug product by developing innovative analytical technologies and establishing control strategies. This role will be responsible for chromatographic method development guided by analytical quality by design (AQbD) principles and predictive models. This position requires adequate knowledge in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and experience working in a laboratory environment. This position also requires adequate knowledge in analytical techniques such as UV, HPLC/UPLC, and LCMS.

responsibilities:
- With guidance from the manager, design, execute and document experiments.
- Develop and optimize analytical methods on the HPLC/UPLC systems.
- Design AQbD experiments and use the experimental data for model prediction of chromatographic separation.
- Test and analyze samples using HPLC/UPLC coupled with UV or MS detection.
- Analyze and interpret data/results; write technical reports; establish protocols, etc.
- Attend relevant meetings and seminars to learn the development of therapeutic small molecules/oligonucleotides.
qualifications:
Required
- PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science, and other relevant majors.
- If no PhD, would accept a Masters degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Established experience with HPLC and UHPLC systems and their associated software systems.
- Experience with high resolution MS and 2D LC.
- Understanding of the separation principles of LC
- Proficiency in Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Proficiency with data analysis, reporting and review.
- Experience with analytical method development for pharmaceuticals.
- Understanding of oligonucleotides.
