Immediate opportunity for a Process Development Associate with one of the world's leading biotechnology companies located in Thousand Oaks, CA.
The ideal candidate is a recent Bachelor's or Master's graduate in a life sciences field with hands-on lab experience, particularly in protein purification techniques such as filtration, chromatography, and UF/DF. While mammalian cell culture experience is beneficial, a strong foundation in protein purification is preferred. Candidates should be able to confidently discuss their scientific processes, demonstrate experience with experiment design and data analysis using tools like GraphPad Prism or JMP, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are key to success in this entry-level role.

responsibilities:
- Work in a team environment to contribute to drug substance process development.
- Contribute to technology development projects to seek continuous improvement in reliability and efficiency.
- Execute mammalian cell culture experiments at different scales in shake flasks, culture bags and bioreactors.
- Execute purification experiments, mainly filtration, chromatography and UFDF, at different scales.
- Program automation for process equipment including benchtop bioreactors, chromatography systems, and robotic liquid handling systems.
- Execute process/equipment troubleshooting.
- Design experiments and analyze the data using visualization and analytics software.
- Document experimental data in lab notebooks.
- Communicate findings through reports and presentations.
