This role will initially be a part-time consultancy with the potential to evolve into a full-time operating position. The consultant will be responsible for identifying industry trends, tracking competitive players, discovering business opportunities, screening potential deals, and developing negotiation strategies within the Preclinical and Clinical CRO spaces. A key aspect of this role will be providing operational and strategic leadership as the organization expands into the US market.

responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze evolving Preclinical CRO industry trends through research of industry and related events, publications, and announcements; communicate findings and educate management team members.
- Track competitive players and products in the Preclinical and Clinical CRO spaces.
- Identify, explore, and assess potential business opportunities in the Preclinical and Clinical CRO spaces.
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financial considerations.
- Develop negotiating strategies and positions by evaluating the integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations.
- Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting prospective partners.
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Develop operational plans and strategies, and advise on new hires and integration plans.
- Manage global operations, including sales and marketing, of a fully integrated CRO subsidiary.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; Advanced degree is favorable but not required.
- A minimum of 15 years of industry experience, including prior CRO positions in pre-clinical studies (animal testing) - preferably in the US market.
- Significant experience and contacts in the Preclinical and Clinical CRO spaces, with specific expertise in animal testing (Non-Human Primates and Other Animals) and other pre-clinical areas.
- Proven history of running and managing a P&L driven organization.
- A proven track record of successful deal-making, demonstrating strong closing and prospecting skills to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Extensive market and industry experience with a well-established network of contacts, complemented by excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate complex information.
- Professionalism, and integrity, essential for building trust and driving business growth.
