responsibilities:
- Perform high-throughput quantitative LC-MS/MS bioanalysis of small molecules from both in vivo and in vitro samples, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LC-MS/MS systems, including routine maintenance and hands-on troubleshooting of AB Sciex Mass Spectrometers.
- Train and mentor junior scientists, providing guidance on laboratory techniques, protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all work, including data in LIMS, electronic notebooks, test methods, and protocols, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Discovery and QTAS to support bioanalysis and contribute to the successful execution of experiments.
- Write or contribute to study reports for regulatory submissions, ensuring results are clearly communicated and meet required standards.
- Design and conduct experiments independently or with minimal supervision, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results while ensuring high-quality standards across multiple projects.
qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- M.S. in Analytical Chemistry (2+ years of relevant experience) or B.S. in Analytical Chemistry (6+ years of relevant experience) with a focus on bioanalysis or related field.
- Proven experience in LC-MS/MS bioanalysis of small molecules, with hands-on expertise in operating and troubleshooting AB Sciex Mass Spectrometers and Agilent HPLCs.
- Proven experience operating and troubleshooting Agilent HPLCs, Leap/CTC PAL autosamplers and AB Sciex Mass Spectrometers
- Must be local to and able to commute onsite in North Chicago, IL Monday through Friday, or if relocating, must be able to relocate at own expense.
- Must not require ANY visa sponsorship to work now or in the future.
- Experience in regulated bioanalysis and/or working in CRO facilities.
- Strong background in method development using various extraction, chromatographic, and analytical methodologies.
