In this hands-on lab role, you'll work Monday through Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), conducting experiments using advanced instrumentation like HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, and MS. responsibilities:
- Plan and execute laboratory experiments using standard procedures and a strong understanding of analytical techniques.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, and MS, including chromatography data systems like Empower or Chromeleon.
- Develop protocols and perform more complex or less defined tests, ensuring precision and accuracy in data collection.
- Analyze and interpret experimental results, and present findings to larger scientific or cross-functional groups.
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with GMP/GLP regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of experimental procedures, data, and outcomes.
- Support method development and troubleshooting efforts in a highly regulated pharmaceutical research environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be local to North Chicago, IL and within a commutable distance to work onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. - no sponsorship required now or in the future.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Medical Technology, Biology, or a related field with 2-5 years of laboratory experience; OR a Master's degree.
- Proficient in operating analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, MS, and chromatography data systems (e.g., Empower, Chromeleon).
- Strong grasp of chemistry fundamentals and hands-on lab techniques.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP regulations and experience working in regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present scientific findings to larger groups.
- Strong documentation skills ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Prior pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience authoring or contributing to research publications or scientific presentations.
- Demonstrated success in developing or optimizing laboratory protocols or analytical methods.
