Biologics Developability Screening and Automation
The Biologics CMC Developability team is an integral part of the Biologics CMC Drug Product Development organization at Company. The Biologics CMC Developability team is responsible for- (1) the identification of biophysical- and chemical liabilities in discovery-stage biologic drug candidates to guide lead selection, and (2) for characterization of the key CMC attributes important for biologic drug development. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated scientist to join the Company Biologics CMC Developability team based in Worcester, MA.

responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth LC-MS based characterization of therapeutic biologic molecules and their post-translational modifications.
- Conduct biophysical and biochemical characterization of biologic drug candidates, as needed.
- Execute experimental protocols, collect results, and perform data analysis carefully and independently.
- Maintain excellent documentation of work including electronic lab notebook and protocols.
- Prepare and deliver concise scientific presentations of experimental results.
- Oversee maintenance of key laboratory equipment and routine laboratory operations.
- Build strong relationships with other team members and across groups.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and documentation compliance.
qualifications:
Required:
- BS in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry (or equivalent) + 5+ years biopharma experience OR MS + 2+ years OR PhD + 0+ years.
- Hands-on protein mass spectrometry (subunit analysis, peptide/disulfide mapping).
- Independent thinking, creativity, and scientific accomplishment.
- Responsible, self-motivated; plans/conducts quality experiments.
- Data analysis skills (MS Excel & GraphPad).
- Biochemical and biophysical protein characterization experience.
- Experience with liquid handling robots and programming.
