This Associate Scientist position in Thousand Oaks, CA, offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research. responsibilities:
- Follows established experimental design and protocols, as well as routine tasks and studies, to obtain reproducible and reliable results under supervision.
- Plan, monitor or conduct experiments, analyze and record experiments and data, collaborate with group members, and communicate and present data to the team.
- Effectively trouble-shoots equipment and experimental difficulties.
- Contributes to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents,
- Skilled and/or knowledgeable in the use of standard laboratory equipment
- Participates in department-wide support efforts such as safety, data recording and centralizing by ELN
qualifications:
Required:
- Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree + 2-3 years relevant scientific experience.
- Cell Culture experience
- Western Blots
- Assay Development
- Transient transfection
- Degree in Biology, Biochemistry; biopharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience with biochemical, biophysical, molecular, and cellular techniques (cell culture, transfection, stable cell lines).
- Experience with small molecule drug screening.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Flexible team player, adapts to changing project goals.
- Strong data analysis, interpretation, and critical thinking skills.
