An Automation Project Engineer is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Houston, TX area. This role involves planning, conducting, and coordinating complex engineering activities across various disciplines, ensuring quality assurance, compliance, and effective communication with customers and sub-suppliers, while managing significant projects and developing technical solutions for automation, SCADA, and energy management systems.

responsibilities:
- Secure quality assurance (QA) for the assigned package within the contractual scope of supply.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) rules and regulations.
- Communicate with the customer regarding technical matters related to the scope.
- Communicate with sub-suppliers and manage all matters related to the order, ensuring all changes and additional requirements are properly handled.
- Obtain necessary approvals from the client for design, drawings, quality, and inspection formats.
- Document and approve all verbal agreements.
- Assure third-party approval of documents and systems/requirements.
