A Systems Engineer is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Houston, TX area. This role manages marine power systems integration, ensuring quality, compliance, and technical coordination for design, documentation, and commissioning.

responsibilities:
- Ensure quality standards for the assigned power package are met within the contractual scope of supply.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) rules and regulations within the discipline.
- Manage communication with the customer on technical matters related to the project.
- Liaise with relevant classification societies (e.g., DNV, ABS, USCG) regarding technical compliance.
- Coordinate with sub-suppliers on all matters related to the order, ensuring changes and additional requirements are properly communicated.
- Secure necessary approvals from clients for design, drawings, quality, and inspection formats.
- Ensure that all verbal agreements are properly documented and approved by all parties involved.
- Transmit all required documents to the client according to the Master Document List (MDL).
- Address deviations from the contracted scope of supply.
- Familiarity with marine industry standard codes and classification society regulations (DNV, ABS, USCG).
- Experience with marine systems, including energy storage, power generation, and distribution (AC & DC).
- Experience with hybrid multi-drive systems.
- strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in performing power system studies using ETAP and MATLAB for MV/LV systems.
- Broad knowledge of vessel types and designs.
- Ability to think outside the box and be self-motivated.
- A quality-driven approach with a focus on achieving results.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
