A CAD Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The role is for a CAD engineer skilled in Catia V5 and Creo, focused on design, quality assurance, and mentoring.

responsibilities:
- Develop and design engineering documentation, including drawings, 3D models, and CAD modules/assemblies.
- Mature the product within the CAD system.
- Redesign existing models, such as small areas.
- Use given products and procedures to perform tasks requiring analysis and drawing conclusions.
- Design components in CAD.
- Create assemblies of CAD models.
- Detect, report, and resolve packaging conflicts.
- Secure quality and readiness before the release of the product.
- Define how drawings are used to verify product geometrical properties.
- Produce technical drawings that sufficiently define a product.
- Advanced knowledge in CAD design, typically obtained through education and work experience.
- Position typically requires 5 years of relevant experience.
- Support junior team members and peers.
- Act as a role model for lifelong learning, sharing knowledge, and developing others as a trainer or coach.
- Expand expertise in own discipline while building a broader T-shaped profile.
- Develop influence and work confidently within the wider company network.
- Clearly articulate how value is being created within their role for the Technology Department (TD) or Business Area (BA).
