We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our team on 2nd Shift 2 PM - 10:30 PM. The ideal candidate will perform a wide variety of optical or opto-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.

responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, testing, and data collection on optical and opto-mechanical assembly units.
- Determine and/or follow methods and sequences of operations for assembly processes.
- Produce a variety of optical components, including sub-assembly, assembly, prototype, inspection, modifications, upgrades, and rework.
- Assemble lens products according to manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, travelers, configuration logs, etc.).
- Conduct manual and/or automatic assembly, inspection, and testing of optical parts.
- Verify the completeness and correctness of kits.
- Assist Engineering in the creation, development, and revision of assembly documentation.
- Ensure the accuracy of finished assemblies to maintain high-quality output.
- Collaborate closely with the Test Team, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments.
- Process assemblies using a variety of materials such as adhesives, coatings, and epoxies.
- Perform mechanical assembly using various hand tools (drivers, sockets, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to work from written instructions, process travelers, and other documentation.
- Experience in the assembly of opto-mechanical components with related tooling.
- Familiarity with ISO policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of clean room procedures.
- Ability to work with small parts under a microscope for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and proficiency in mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
