A Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Auburn Hills, MI area. The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading complex engineering projects, coordinating cross-functional activities, and applying advanced techniques to design, analyze, and improve machinery, equipment, and products.

responsibilities:
- Perform complex engineering assignments requiring expertise in mechanical engineering and knowledge of related disciplines.
- Plan, design, modify, and evaluate machinery, equipment, and products to meet project objectives.
- Coordinate activities internally and cross-functionally to ensure project goals align with organizational and customer requirements.
- Apply advanced techniques, models, and simulations to resolve engineering challenges effectively.
- Lead or act as a principal investigator in problem-solving efforts, developing solutions and preparing recommendations or reports.
- Conduct economic studies and assist or lead in preparing technical specifications, proposals, and safety documents.
- Represent the engineering team in meetings with customers, addressing technical issues and developing actionable plans.
- Contribute technical input and decisions that impact operational effectiveness and customer relations.
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or related field plus 5 to 8 years of experience.
- Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
