Permanent Position: Job opening for a Process Quality Engineer in Salem, VA for a leading manufacturer. This position will drive continuous quality improvement in a precision-machined product line. The Quality Engineer works with production managers, engineers, and production, utilizing data and feedback to prioritize and resolve quality issues.
The ideal candidate will have a BS in Engineering or a related field and 2+ years of Process Engineering or Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment with the following skills:
- QMS
- ISO9001 and ATEX/IECEx
- SOP for manufacturing machined products
- PFMEA
- PPAP
- Control Plans
- Root Cause Analysis (8D, fishbone, 5 why, etc.)
- Internal and External Audits

- Develop and maintain quality standards for product development and manufacturing processes within a production area.
- Oversees all quality-related issues from supplier materials to final product inspections.

- Review suppliers and establish quality requirements
