Our client, a leader in the entertainment industry, is looking for an entry-level Electrical Controls Designer. Key qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 + years of experience generating electrical controls designs, AutoCAD and Eplan experience. An AA/AS degree or equivalent work experience is required. responsibilities:
Collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams to create and communicate production drawings for capital and sustainment projects, supporting attractions at Disneyland Resort. Produce CAD layouts, detailed wiring diagrams, and schematics for electrical systems, as well as mechanical drawings for racks, consoles, and control boxes. Participate in design reviews, determine documentation needs (e.g., Acceptance and Operational Test Procedures), and manage design release through Engineering Communication Forms (ECF) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO). Conduct research to meet project requirements, select appropriate materials and vendors, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including California Ride Law. Coordinate with vendors to review design documentation, and work with Document Management staff to maintain accurate records in the electronic data management system (EDMS).
