A Toxic Gas Monitoring System Specialist is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Santa Clara, CA area. This TGMS Specialist role involves designing and verifying toxic gas monitoring and fire alarm systems for semiconductor and industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with safety codes while collaborating with engineers and clients on complex projects.

responsibilities:
- Work as a TGMS (Toxic Gas Monitoring System) Specialist on semiconductor manufacturing and industrial/commercial projects.
- Deliver complex packages in coordination with engineers and stakeholders for process chemical systems design and gas cabinet monitoring for Life Safety Systems.
- Interface directly with clients to design their facilities.
- Utilize AutoCAD and other engineering tools to support technical quality and functionality in engineering and programming tasks.
- Gain familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Knowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements.
- Knowledge and application of NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code.
- Familiarity with Fire Alarm systems, including VESDA systems.
- Design experience with Fire Alarm systems, VESDA systems, TGMS sensors, HPM sensors, and Leak Detection.
- Understanding of design and construction specifications.
- Experience in construction environments, including field verifications.
